Our first exhibit opened on August 1, 1999 at the Champlin Fighter Aircraft Museum in Mesa Arizona. Engines include "Elmerina" by Elmer Beers, Les Chenery's Anzani, Merritt Zimmerman's Cirrus, Forest Edwards Radial, the prototype Challenger V8, and engines by Dennis Fadden. Featured projects include Pat Loop's "Miniature Mechanical Tachometer" and castings by Bruce Satra.
The Miniature Engineering Museum is dedicated to the preservation and display of miniature design and engineering projects. We are looking for miniature engines and projects of all types, particularly those that portray individual effort. Placards are provided crediting the designer and builder for the hand-made and pre-production prototypes. Commercial engines and projects will be exhibited in their own display arena.
