RIMFIRE SPARKPLUG
Crosses the Atlantic

Powered by a highly modified Enya single cylinder, four- stroke, model airplane engine, the Aerosonde's flight commenced at Bell Island Airport in Newfoundland, Canada. After 2000 miles, 26 hours, and 1.5 gallons of gas, the 29 pound, nine foot airplane dubbed "Laima" touched down in a pasture on a Scottish island, becoming the first unmanned aircraft to successfully cross the Atlantic Ocean. Engine modifications included electronic ignition by CH Electronics and the Rimfire Sparkplug.
